Also, visit giraffe center to have close interaction with giraffes while feeding them. They might give you a kiss to show their gratitude if you are lucky.

ITINERARY

This itinerary of seven wonders safaris will take you for a day tour by picking you up from your hotel/home within Nairobi. You will drive to David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust a little center in an open space with a rope fencing around it. The visiting time is between 11 am to 12 pm. Here you can see the beautiful view of youngest elephants come rushing out of the bush to greet their keepers who stand to feed them with giant bottles of milk. They very fondly slurp and gargle their milk for 10-15 minutes. When they play in the water, their keepers nudge and hug them which build a strong bond between them. If they come close to you near the rope you can cuddle them. You get the chance to capture all this, and if you are of intriguing nature, you can know more about them. You can find out about their age when rescued, where they were rescued and what got them into trouble. Most often they are saved after falling into wells, mothers poached, and human/wildlife conflict. The keepers feed the youngest elephants first then to the 2-3 years old elephants. The keepers either feed them or they can feed themselves. They look very cute while holding their giant milk bottles in their trunks and sometimes close their eyes with pleasure. They are really playful so you can often see them chewing some branches of their favorite acacias. They love to play with half drums filled with water and mud.

After spending an hour, you will be visiting giraffe center where you can have personal interaction with Rothschild giraffes. You can feed them with your hands and if fortunate enough they will show their gratitude by licking you. The center has rescued, hand raised and released around 500 orphaned giraffes back into their natural habitat since opening in 1979. This location also provides a fine education on the physiology, behaviors and habitat preferences of these beautiful animals. After spending a wonderful day, you will drive back to the hotel or home. This amazing experience of seven wonders safaris will imbibe you with humanity, love, and affection towards these innocent animals.
